2. Data processed
Site access and security
When you visit, the web server and infrastructure providers may process your IP address, request date and time, requested path, response status, referrer and browser or device user-agent. This is needed to deliver the site, prevent abuse and investigate failures.
Affiliate-link events
If you use a LemonBitcoin outbound affiliate link, the application may record the link used, the LemonBitcoin source page, the origin of an external referrer and a country code supplied by the network provider. The application does not place a raw IP address in the affiliate click-event record, although normal security access logs still process IP addresses.
Local preferences
The site stores the compact-sidebar preference in your browser's local storage. It remains on your device until you change it or clear browser storage.
Messages
If you email the operator, your address, message and related correspondence are processed to respond and keep an appropriate record of the request.
3. Purposes and legal bases
- Delivering, securing and troubleshooting the site: legitimate interests under GDPR Article 6(1)(f).
- Measuring minimal affiliate-link activity and preventing abuse: legitimate interests under GDPR Article 6(1)(f).
- Responding to enquiries: legitimate interests or steps requested before a contract under GDPR Article 6(1)(f) or 6(1)(b), depending on the request.
- Meeting legal obligations where applicable: GDPR Article 6(1)(c).
You may object to processing based on legitimate interests as described below.
4. Cookies and similar storage
LemonBitcoin does not currently use advertising or audience-analytics cookies. The site uses local storage only for the interface preference described above. Cloudflare or another infrastructure provider may use strictly necessary security cookies to protect and route the site.
5. Providers and transfers
Data may be processed by the VPS hosting provider, email provider and Cloudflare as infrastructure or communications providers. These providers process only the data needed for their services and may use locations outside your country. Where required, cross-border processing must rely on an applicable legal transfer mechanism.
LemonBitcoin does not sell personal data.
6. Retention
Affiliate click-event records are automatically deleted after 180 days. Server security logs are rotated and retained only while reasonably necessary for security, diagnostics and legal obligations. Local-storage preferences remain until you clear or replace them. Contact correspondence is retained only while needed to answer, document or lawfully defend the matter.
7. Your rights
Subject to the GDPR and any applicable limits, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data, and may object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may also complain to a competent data-protection supervisory authority in the EU/EEA country where you live, work or believe an infringement occurred.

8. Automated decisions and children
LemonBitcoin does not use personal data for automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects. The site is general educational content and is not directed to children.
9. Changes
This policy may be updated when features, providers or legal requirements change. The date at the top will show the latest revision.
